The goal of our Kid’s Ministry is to encourage each child to respond to the love of God by surrendering their lives to Him and to help their families in laying a foundation of biblical truth for life. We love kids at Bethany so we place a high priority on providing a safe environment where kids can make friends while learning about God’s plan for their lives through gospel-centered curriculum, small group discipleship and Christ focused worship.
Infant Care and Toddlers classes through 2 years old. During the class time your child will experience fun learning activities, a short Bible story, a snack and play time with others who are his or her age and will receive focused care and attention from our loving volunteers. Rooms are divided by age to meet the developmental needs of every child and to provide a safe and playful environment to hear about Jesus!
Sunday classes for children ages 3-Kindergarten. During this class time, your child will enjoy an energetic worship time, hear a Bible story, enjoy a snack, engage in age-appropriate learning activities and crafts and have time to play on our playground with others who are his or her age. This focused time and attention from our loving volunteers is provided in a safe and fun environment where our early childhood children get excited about a relationship with Jesus!
Our 1st-5th grade kids meet in a large group environment that is designed to resemble our “Big Church” worship service with energetic worship, Kid’s Sermon, Bible story video skit and prayer. Then we move to a small group environment for life application lessons, Bible memory, games and prayer. We teach the Bible in a way that addresses real issues our children are facing in this stage of their life. Your child will have a blast and learn about Jesus in a way that connects with them on their level as they make new friends in this focused time with loving leaders who make sure every child knows they are important and loved by God.
We use the GROW Curriculum, a 3-year journey through the Bible that spends equal time in the Old and New Testament. Each month there is a new and fun theme for each series that has a monthly memory verse, a weekly Big Idea and questions that help you as parents to reinforce the lessons at home.
Throughout the year there are four spiritual habits we are seeking to help the kids apply to their lives:
Spending Time with God
Spending Time with Others
Discovery and Using their Gifts
Sharing their Story with Others
We count it as a win whenever kids take a step toward owning their faith by practicing one, or maybe even all four of these spiritual habits.
We recognize that parents are the primary disciple-makers of our children, which is why it’s our joy to partner with you in pointing your kids to Jesus. To support parents throughout the week, we send a weekly email to our families to keep you up to date with all our Kid’s Ministry happenings as well as our home discipleship questions and parenting videos and resources. If you are not on our email list, please contact us.
